Neuron / API disclosure
API &
data use.
Plain-language disclosure of what Neuron reads, why it reads it, and what it cannot do.
YouTube API Services used
Neuron uses YouTube API Services, specifically the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API, to build performance and reconnaissance reports for channels explicitly connected by an authorized operator.
Read-only access
youtube.readonlyReads the connected channel's video list, titles, publish dates, and public statistics.
yt-analytics.readonlyReads aggregate performance reports such as views, watch time, and subscriber change.
Neuron requests no write scope. It cannot publish, edit, delete, comment, or upload content.
How the data is used
- Build a private time series for the connected channel.
- Calculate same-channel performance baselines and velocity.
- Compare results with public, age- and format-aware cohorts.
- Present analytics and research findings back to the authorized operator.
Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Storage and retention
Metrics and OAuth credentials are stored in a private operator-controlled database while a channel remains connected. Neuron refreshes stored YouTube API Data as required by YouTube's policies. Disconnecting removes the stored credential and begins deletion of Authorized Data associated with that grant.
Revoke or delete
Revoke access at Google Account Permissions. Authorized Data is deleted as soon as possible after revocation and within the applicable YouTube policy deadline. Request deletion at legal@meridiancognition.com.
Policies
Neuron's use of YouTube API Services is governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and YouTube API Services Developer Policies. See the Google Privacy Policy for how Google handles information.
