Privacy
policy.

This policy describes how Meridian Cognition LLC handles information belonging to people who connect a YouTube account to Neuron.

YouTube API Services

Neuron uses YouTube API Services, specifically the YouTube Data API v3 and YouTube Analytics API. Its access is limited to read-only scopes approved by the person connecting the YouTube channel.

Neuron's use of YouTube API Services is governed by the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and YouTube API Services Developer Policies.

What Neuron collects

  • YouTube channel and video identifiers, titles, publish dates, and public statistics.
  • Authorized YouTube channel metrics such as views, watch time, and subscriber change.
  • Public YouTube metadata used for cohort benchmarks.
  • An OAuth credential that permits scheduled read-only refreshes.

Neuron does not collect YouTube passwords, payment details, messages, contacts, or the contents of private communications.

How data is used and shared

YouTube API Data and other Google user data are used only to authenticate the connected channel, maintain a private performance history, calculate analytics, and generate research reports for the account holder who authorized access.

The data is not sold, shared for advertising, or used to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. It is not shared with external parties except when necessary to communicate with Google's services or comply with law. Access is limited to the authorized operator and systems controlled by Meridian Cognition LLC.

Neuron's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Google's own handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Storage, security, and retention

Metrics and OAuth credentials are stored in a private operator-controlled database and protected with access controls and encrypted transport. Neuron refreshes stored YouTube API Data as required by YouTube's policies.

When a channel is disconnected through Neuron, its credential is deleted and Authorized Data associated with that grant is deleted as soon as possible, no later than seven calendar days. If access is revoked through Google Account Permissions, associated API Data is deleted as soon as possible, no later than 30 calendar days.

Revocation and deletion

Access can be withdrawn at any time from Google Account Permissions. Revocation stops further authorized collection. A verified deletion request can also be sent to legal@meridiancognition.com.

Third parties and website data

Neuron does not allow third parties to serve advertising or other content through the API client, and it does not place cookies or similar technology on a user's device to store YouTube API Data. This public website has no user accounts, advertising trackers, or behavioral profiling. Standard infrastructure logs may temporarily record request metadata for security and reliability.
